Come spend half a day with me learning the ancient art of dowsing but linking it to modern geology and magnetic fields. I am a South African trained geologist who was first introduced to dowsing though my own water well drilling company in 1982. I have used electrical resisistivity surveying methods aero magnetic maps geological maps aerial photographs and of course Google Earth to supplement my dowsing location sites. I have personally selected drilled and cased over a thousand water wells and located thousands of wells over a period of more than 30 years. I have also geologically logged tens of miles of formation and multiple gas horizon shows on the 10 000 to 12 000 foot gas and oil wells in California s Central valley. Dowsing with magnetically enhanced Steel L rods is simply an easy way to find magnetic fields associated with fractures dykes dikes and fault zones. These jointed fractured zones are often more porous and permeable to the flow of underground water when a pump is introduced into these fracture zones in a well that is drilled. Thetefore it is likely that you will find more water but there is no guarantee. Just as when you drill for oil there is no guarantee that you get a great amount or any at all no matter how many geophysical methods you use. At the end of the lesson you will have been shown how to dowse or divine for porous zones. You will actually see the changes in hard rock geology correlated to your dowsing rods. You will feel the twisting force of the dowsing rod as you cross a change in geological formation. You can then show your friends and family how to dowse. I try to use all this knowledge I have gained over the years in my academic and practical experience to make your day on the beach an interesting one. Set aside 2 to 3 hours to learn dowsing and some central Oregon coast geology. The cost per person is 100. A discount of 10% is available for groups of 10 or larger.
