J.M. Ahle Company is seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper Office Manager. J. M. Ahle Company (a subsidiary of Moro Corporation) fabricates reinforcing steel and distributes both wire mesh and related concrete accessory products. Our customers are concrete highway and general contractors using these materials in the construction of roads and bridges schools and other commercial facilities and infrastructure applications including utility and water treatment facilities located mainly in New Jersey and metropolitan New York. The Company also has a fabrication facility located in New Bedford MA. We are seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper Office Manager. This position will report to co-CEO s with a strong dotted line relationship to the parent company headquarters. Primary job responsibilities include but are not limited to Prepare payroll for approximately 36 employees for South River NJ and New Bedford MA. Perform customer billing and monthly receivable aging and reconcile to the general ledger. Accounts payable and accrued expenses and reconcile to the general ledger. Reconcile physical inventories to general ledger. Deposit cash receipts and reconcile bank accounts to general ledger monthly. Coordinate work performed by bookkeeper in New Bedford MA. Operate as point person for outside CPA firm bank auditors state tax auditors and insurance auditors. Prepare monthly balance sheets income statements and cash flow reports. Back-up for answering phones. Sorts and distributes mail. Maintain and order office supplies. EDUCATION AND OR EXPERIENCE 6-10 years full charge bookkeeping experience. Preferably in a distribution light manufacturing environment. High School graduate or equivalent Strong knowledge of computer software for accounting and inventory control. Specifically Small Business Financials and QuickBooks Pro. Strong organizational communication and time management skills. Ethical conduct.
