If you need a more specific thickness or profile let us know and we can run the lumber through our planner or 4 head moulder for an extra cost. Most of our decking is rough cut. Rough cut lumber has the benefit of being one of the most economical price options and provides the practical property of creating friction on the deck surface which keeps the deck from being as slick when it is wet. Oak trailer decking is strong and a good weather resistant decking lumber. It comes in as a good local alternative to the highly priced imported tropical woods as Apitong ( Keruing ) and Purple Heart. These indeed are premium materials that are strong and long lasting in the weather but often are many times higher in price than what we offer. Trailer decking is suspended off the ground and has good airflow. Many find it very satisfactory and nearly just as long lasting as pressure treated pine decking as it accepts rugged wear and weight even as it ages. Oak barns corrals and oak fence posts commonly last for decades. We have skilled trailer decking installers which will get you a firm trailer surface in good condition ready to haul your cargo. We provide the services of stripping off the old decking screwing on the new and can give it a coat of oil. A coat of oil often looks nice preserves the wood better and can keep the trailer lighter weight by preventing it from soaking up water.
