With Clarke you join an innovative and passionate team where people are the heart and soul of the organization working together to create an environment where the employees thrive and nature flourishes.Most seasonal work will be done outdoors either on the water in an environment that includes heavy vegetation uneven terrain and varying weather conditions using trucks boats ATVs (all-terrain vehicles) bikes and backpack sprayers.Clarke is seeking independent self-motivated detail-orientated safety focused and environmentally conscious individuals with a passion for the outdoors to join us for a fun seasonal job opportunity.Field Technicians are responsible for application of a biological larvicide to community catch basins while driving Clarke vehicles throughout all assigned treatment routes in an effort to control the larval populations of mosquitoes.Multiple positions are available. No prior experience is required. Paid training is included Shift Monday - FridayWeekends and or overtime may be required based on business needsPay 10.00 per hourRequired Experience Job Duties and Responsibilities Utilize a map to drive to assigned treatment area and use treatment maps to locate treatment sites Drive a Clarke vehicle during all assigned treatment routes while abiding all traffic laws Dispense treatment packets in a safe proper and timely manner Performs daily inspections of vehicle and equipment to verify working condition and communicate any issues to the supervisor Document daily work activity including product used to ensure completion of customer contracts Responsible for making sure safe work practices and procedures are followed at all time Successful Candidate Must Be 18 years of age or older Possess a high school degree or equivalent with high school level math skills Must be proficient in reading street maps Communicate effectively in English in both written and verbal forms Have a valid Driver s License with an excellent driving record Other Requirements Must be able to work through the end of our 2016 season (September October) if possible Must be available to work Monday- Friday start time is usually 6 00 AM. Capable of using handheld technical device including but not limited to smartphones GPS and system application Candidate must be comfortable performing assigned duties while driving through various challenging and sometime uneven street terrain throughout residential communities and urban environments where environmental conditions are affected by weather pedestrians and other operating vehicles We offer a team atmosphere where each individual can and does make a difference.
