Pride safety training growth opportunity great benefits rewards check us out we may be the company for you The Opportunity Our licenced Truck & Coach Mechanics are responsible for performing preventive maintenance services and inspecting diagnosing and repairing a variety of vehicles and equipment. Our Mechanics are expected to work on several different and demanding tasks that require substantial effort and commitment. Familiarity with a computer is necessary as our Mechanics complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software programs documenting part usage and accounting for repair time.Our London site is currently offering a 5 000 Sign-On-Bonus as well as a Relocation Bonus. (Relocation bonus to be determined subject to current location.) The Day-To-Day To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. Works under supervision and selects from written instructions and established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks. Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services. Performs inspection diagnosis and repair of electrical hydraulic suspension brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment. Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs. Estimates time and material costs on vehicle repairs and requisitions new parts. Performs all work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs). Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns. Conducts safety checks on vehicles. Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles documenting parts usage and accounting for repair times. Assists senior technicians in the completion of project work. Reviews completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports. Maintains a clean safe work area in compliance with Corporate OSHA Standards and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. What It Takes... Education & Experience Valid 310T Truck & Coach Certification. At least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada. Driver s licence Class G preferred class DZ. Physical Demands & Work Environment Work is performed in an open truck shop environment and may be exposed to the elements the noise of machinery and vehicles fumes exhaust emissions grease engine oils solvents chemicals dust electrical hazards mechanical hazards vehicle hazards and vibrations. Required to stand and walk on level and uneven surfaces twist bend push pull crouch climb stairs reach bend and crawl grasp drag lift and carry items weighing up to 80 pounds. May work above shoulder level with power and or hand tools weighing 25 pounds and in confined spaces. Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the positions and have mobility vision hearing and sense of smell and dexterity levels appropriate to the duties to be performed. May be required to make road calls or perform test drives a valid driver s licence and clean abstract are mandatory. Normal setting for this job is repair maintenance shop.
