We believe that there is a great child in each one of our students they just need to learn how to correct the thinking errors that have brought them recent problems. Therapist is a professional clinical position that provides direct care services to clients and manages clients growth plans.DUTIES Performs assessments evaluations and other screening and intake functions to assess the presenting problems and level of care needed for each client. Evaluates and assesses each client in light of social emotional developmental and psychological information and develops growth objectives and goals interventions and specific desired outcomes as part of the Master Growth Plan. Implements growth goals and plans with teenage clients parents and families. Utilizing individual group and family therapeutic techniques and skills. Is involved with substance abuse care in so far as to promote recovery goals and measure progress achieved. Coordinates with other direct care staff in the implementation of growth plans and goals. Attends the Direct Care Team meetings on a weekly basis and give and receives reports on clients. Prepares care and progress reports letters and updates to the Master Growth Plan and discusses this information with the client and parents or referring agencies. Prepares clients for discharge by assisting in the development of continuing care plans with client and parents. Participates in parent weekend activities through seminars group meetings and individual client sessions with parents. To be available for on call responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS The therapist must hold a Master s Degree in counseling or a related social science psychological field & must have a current Utah License in a related counseling or psychological field must have strong counseling and communication skills desirable to have experience working with high-risk adolescents and families.
