Title Insurance Biller - MedicalLocation TN-Franklin (Nashville Region)SummaryPrimary purpose of this position is responsible for assisting multiple PASI departments with UB billing for hospital services.Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.Generates Rebill from billing systemAudit UB-04 prior to electronic or paper billingIdentify billing errors for correction then resubmit via adjustment or new submission.Transmit claims or bills claims hard copyKey claims onlinePulls medical remits as needed for billing purposesCalculate number of claims billed and log daily as directedReview Medicare Remittance advice for payment errors rejections and denials.Initiate appeals.Provide quality customer service to patients co-workers and management.Keep current with Medicare regulations and procedures.Abide by HIPAA confidentiality regulations as well as those required by PASI at all times.Education and or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months related experience and or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.Language Skills Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers clients customers and the general public.Mathematical Skills Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.Reasoning Ability Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written oral diagram or schedule form.Other Skills AbilitiesPreferred medical billing experiencePreferred Medicare and Medicaid billing experiencePreferred experience using a SSI billing systemMicrosoft Office experience including Word and ExcelExcellent communication and organizational skillsPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
