Original and Rare 3 Piece Colonial Glassware Set

This is a Candle holder vase set from one of Virginias 17th Century plantation homes. This is from the beginnings of Americas glass making industry and is full of the defects that was typical of early glass. Only the very rich could affoed it and in the plantation home it would sit on a table at the end of the grand hall providing light throughoutthe night. There are two candle holders and the matching vase. They are 11 inches tall and the holders had a recess in the very bottom to hold a candle. This gave security against fire form a candle falling over or off a wall holder. Mine are a light green to blueish color depending on the light. I did not picture the vase as I do not want to handle them any more than I need to. One of the holders has a small chip on the bottom and they all show clear pontils from being hand blown. They are rae even for museums and The State Department in Washington has a set just like mine. Shipping would run 50.00 by way Of USPS J.P.Goodwin
