Quality Engineer

TGFS has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer. We are looking for someone that will strive for excellence and that will thrive in a fast-paced environment. Job Summary Researches develops and implements state of the art quality systems tools and techniques required to ensure customer satisfaction quality improvement and quality prevention. We are looking for a candidate who has experience with TS16949 procedures APQP PFMEA control plan operator instructions SPC Gage R& R check fixture design review PPAP PSW and PSO. Experience using MS Excel Word and statistical software is essential. Candidate must be able to demonstrate strong skills in disciplined problem solving. A 6-Sigma Black Belt is a plus. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Work closely with internal departments to resolve in-house and supplier quality problems using established problem-solving methodologies (Root Cause Analysis 5Y s Mistake-proofing etc.). Lead the resolution of quality issues related to non-conformance reports cell shutdowns customer complaints regulatory actions etc. Keep plant personnel informed of quality related issues as well as promote quality awareness throughout the manufacturing facility. Launch new programs from the prototype stage to mass production. Implement preventive and corrective actions. Conduct internal audits. Obtains and creates PPAP s and poke yoke devices. Maintains gages. Assists with the training of quality inspectors. Handles day-to-day quality issues both internally and externally. REQUIREMENTS Minimum 5 years advanced Quality Engineering experience in an automotive environment Thorough understanding of TS16949 quality systems and processes to ensure company and customer standards are met. Strong verbal and written communication skills a must computer knowledge required Ability to respond to all customer concerns in both oral and written form. Strong leadership and good decision making abilities.
