The Rogers School of Traditional Music offers lessons on a variety of instruments and styles. Lessons are taught by Dr. Austin Rogers who has 28 years of musical experience ranging from classical to old time to bluegrass to Celtic. Lessons are offered in the following instruments styles Piano Old Time Banjo Bluegrass Banjo Old Time Fiddle Resonator Guitar (Dobro) Bluegrass Mandolin We accept students of ages four and up on piano and twelve and up on other instruments. During this consultation you will have a chance to observe the instructor s playing first hand to verify that this is the style of music you want to learn. If you do not have an instrument already Dr. Rogers can assist you in choosing and purchasing a suitable instrument.
