Hi everyone. My name is Peanut and I am a two year old 60 lb chocolate lab. Does that make me a chocolate covered peanut Well no but I am just as sweet as one. I m very friendly with people kids and dogs. I spend most of my days at a doggy daycare so I am very comfortable playing and spending time with other dogs. I am very affectionate and eager to please but can be timid at first in new situations. I am so sweet and amiable with humans even strangers that I make a poor guard dog. I haven t been around cats enough to know how I would react to them. I have a medium to high energy level and need lots of daily exercise so will do best in an active home. Regular exercise helps prevent me from chewing things that are left out like socks shoes and kids toys (not as tasty as chocolate covered peanuts but very close). I love playing fetch with the ball as well as playing with toys although I tend to destroy them in a very short period of time. Car rides are also a favorite hobby of mine no car sickness or whining for this peanut I am housetrained and know my basic commands but still being young I have a short attention span and do not listen all the time. This is partly because I haven t outgrown some of my puppy tendencies and partly because my owner doesn t have enough time to spend training me. But I know that with the right owner I can be great at commands because I am very smart. My diet consists of dog food and pumpkin only. I have some sort of food intolerance that causes my digestive system to get upset if I am fed a variety of different foods. I am also a little anxious being on laminate floors because I ve slipped on them in the past. My owner uses area rugs to make it easy for me and that works great. I am looking for a new home because my owner s personal and work situations have recently changed. As a single mom traveling much of the time she just doesn t have the time to give me the attention I need. Her daughter is too young to take care of me so I am put in doggy daycare most of the time. I love people so much that I would really prefer to be with a family that can devote lots of time and attention to me. I am spayed microchipped and have up to date vaccinations.
