My name is Thor I don t have a hammer or a brother named Loki but I do believe I have the good heart and good looks of my namesake. I am a 13 month old Shepherd Lab cross with beautiful brown coat and floppy ears. Although I am still young I have a calm demeanor and good social skills. I am very good with small dogs or dogs that I am already familiar with. In fact I am used to living with other dogs with no problems whatsoever. I am a little wary of big dogs (hey I m still a puppy ) and may sometimes bark at ones I haven t met before. But once I get to know them better and realize I don t need to be scared we become fast friends. I haven t had much experience around cats so I m a little unsure about them. But I have such a friendly demeanor that it is possible I may I not mind them at all once I get used to them.My owner thinks I am the best dog ever I am great with humans both old and young love to cuddle follow commands to go to bed wait to eat until told to do so and follow basic commands like sit shake and lie down. I am currently working very hard to master come and drop the ball which I am doing through constant clicker training. I am quiet and relaxed around the house and can even be left on my own for a reasonable amount of time with no issues on separation anxiety. And all this at just 13 months Imagine how even more awesome I ll be when I m older.My owner has recently learned that her father has a serious form of cancer. She needs to relocate to the island to be closer to him and provide help when needed. Her daughter is also dealing with personal health issues. These things together are draining her both emotionally and financially. So she has made the tough decision to put me up for adoption. Although it is hard for her the reality is she needs to focus on her family at the moment. And finding a new home will allow me to get the attention training and love I need.
