Hello My name is Jack and I am an Umbrella Cockatoo in great feather condition. I am about 10 years old (still very young for a cockatoo) and can be handled by men women and children with supervision.My foster mom and dad are transitioning me from a seed diet to a healthier pellet diet and offer me many fruits and veggies. So far I am a picky eater but I am getting much better. I absolutely love to snuggle and adore being the center of attention. I have a big personality and talk in my own Jack language. My foster mom and dad can t quite understand what I m saying but it doesn t matter I love to talk to them and make noise. It sure does get their attention I also love to get spray bottle showers gotta keep my gorgeous feathers clean My foster brother and sister dogs don t bother me and I don t mind them either. Just remember to please carefully supervise any interaction between myself and other pets I tend to get frustrated when I am not the center of attention and would do best in a home where I can spend a lot of time outside of my cage and have a lot of interaction. I am an avid wood chewer and love destroying my wooden toys. I am also an escape artist and require extra locks on my cage door. I can hop like a bunny and love to dance. I am not a biter but will let you know if I am upset or do not like something. I am the only bird in my foster home so I do not know if I like other birds or not. Because I am a cockatoo and get a little noisy I would not do well in apartment or condo living.
