Dakota 2 year old female Dog friendly big and small Kids unknown Cats unknown Crate trained Covington WA Hi guys my name is Dakota My previous owner surrendered me because she wanted me to have a better life. So I come from a good home and am 100% healthy which is awesome I love love love to meet new people and new dogs I am such a passive girl which makes just about any dog perfect for me I even got my foster-grandma s tiny 5lb super shy dog to play with me she won t even go up to any other dog or person sometimes not even her own mommy and I got her to play with me and go up to her mommy happily and come up to my foster mom Well my foster sister was kind of bossy at first but I let her know that I d do whatever she wants me to and am super-d-duper nice and now she a big fan of me I ve never met a kid but I m sure I ll love them because I m so friendly nice and passive I never nip bite or jump on you I also told my foster mom that I ll do whatever she wants too. Sometimes I don t want to but I will reluctantly. Like with my kennel I hate that stupid thing. But if my foster mom or foster dad want me to go into my kennel all you have to do is gently hold my collar and walk me up to the stupid kennel and I ll just walk in even though I could probably just stay out because I ve never had an accident (when I have to go potty I always ask to go outside) or chewed anything up My foster sister is trying to teach me not to scream when I go in my kennel and my foster parents and any other humans leave. But I only scream for like 2 or 3 minutes. I would actually love to go in the car with you I am perfect. I m quiet but I really just can t stay awake I m such a good girl Oh yeah I m cute. It s simple I am just cute in every single way Everyone says that my ears and nose are my best features but if you ask me my best features are my eyes and the colors in my beautiful coat This is because I can get whatever I want (seriously anything I want) with my eyes and I don t know if you can tell in the pictures of me that don t do me justice but the brown in my coat is actually a beautiful mahogany chocolate and a glorious dark gold And I DO cute things too I hand out hugs like candy on halloween You ll just be chillin out and I ll walk up and give you a hug and a kiss I even kiss my foster sister she only sometimes likes it but I just have so much love to give I have the most feminine bark cry and woo you will ever hear. Everyone laughs at least the first time they hear it which I totally don t mind. So there ya go I M CUTE I do sometimes pull a little on the leash when I get a little excited or distracted but a quick give and take on the leash will remind me of what I m supposed to be doing. Oh and I don t walk in a chain a pesky prong collar or a stupid harness I walk in a standard buckle collar. Because I m THAT good. And I ll work hard for any type of treat you are willing to give to me. Sometimes I get a little too excited about the treat in your hand and completely forget what I m supposed to be doing and just follow the treat with my eyes and head. My foster mom doesn t give the treat to me until I calm down and will do what she s asking me. Goodness I love treats but I m always very gentle when taking food from you. I guess someone told my foster mom that I have issues with food but I don t understand why because I ll even let you take the food from inside my mouth. But that s okay I don t hold a grudge and I get over things really super-de-duper fast. My little nub of a tail is always wiggling and if I get super excited or happy my butt wiggles too. I m really just a happy happy girl So my day. My day starts at 6am my foster mom or foster dad will come let me out of my kennel and take me and my foster sister outside to go potty at 6am it s usually pretty cold so we get to peeing pretty fast When we come back inside it s breakfast time Boring dry dog food but a tasty blop of nummy pumpkin Then it s playtime until my foster sister and I have to go outside and do our business we also do quite a few laps around the yard most of the times we go outside fun fun fun Then we come back inside and sometimes we ll then go for a walk or a car ride or if we re just staying at home for the day then we play all day long Unless you want to cuddle up and watch t.v a movie or just take a nap then I ll lay down with you. I love cuddles Dinner is at 5pm no earlier. We won t even get fed a 4 58 dumb if you ask me. Anyways we get the same thing for dinner as we got for breakfast. Then back to play time sometimes it s running and wrestling outside in the back yard sometimes it s tug-o-war or just wrestling all over the house After dinner we don t get very much time to play until it s time to start to wind down for bed. At 9pm it s lights out until 6am for breakfast My ideal home let s see. I don t like being alone so I d really like another dog to play with and or someone to play with me and exercise me. I ll need a yard to run in or a serious running buddy- all year round. I d love a family that takes time for me so I always feel important to you. And as you can tell from reading this I have quite the personality and will need some patience for the first little bit. Not long though just until I get to know you and your routine.
