About the Job We have an opening for one or two energetic and skilled individuals to work as Bench and Field Service Technicians in Waterloo Iowa. A Service Technician is a self starter that performs a variety of tasks to facilitate modification repair maintenance and installation of communications systems equipment parts and accessories. Specific Job Duties Candidates must have capabilities with installation repair and maintenance of antenna systems base systems battery back-up systems microwave systems multiplexers remote controls and repeaters including trunking and simulcast systems. Qualifications Experience in programming and component level troubleshooting and repair of Two-Way Radios. Experience with dispatch consoles paging infrastructure and trunked radio systems. Ability to program troubleshoot and perform system diagnostics and repair Cabling connectorization and system optimization skills both RF and Ethernet FCC FICA or NARTE industry license is a plus Two-year degree in electronics field is highly desired Knowledge of Zetron Consoles Trunking and Simulcast is a plus A knowledge of WIFI ethernet and routing is a plus.
