.Josie s story is heart breaking - yet very rewarding.At 6 weeks of age she was injured severely in her rectum & tail area resulting in life long injuries. That doesn t stop Josie from being a normal playful puppy - as we know dogs live in the moment & she truly enjoys life Josie has some special needs - with her lack of ability to control her bladder & bowel she has to wear a diaper when in the house - and Josie knows the routine and handles it amazingly with a happy go lucky spirit. The foster family lets Josie run outside without a diaper & she romps and plays with her fur siblings like any other normal puppy would.Currently weighing in at 26.5 Josie is almost 6 months old - fully vetted micro-chipped and spayed. Her vet is local to Nassau County - She does not require any special vetting - normal routine vaccines. With her condition she may be susceptible to UTI issues however we have yet to see that occur with proper cleaning and changing or diapers.If you are interested in Josie - let us know.
