Sophie is a spayed lady guinea pig who is looking for a friend to keep her company Sophie is about 4 years old and is a ginger white and brown short-haired guinea pig. She loves attention and being around her human companions but she usually runs if you try to pet her. She does enjoy lap time but struggles mightily when you pick her up. Sophie and her son were surrendered to the rescue after her owner lost her home. That family adopted them from someone else who could no longer keep them. Sophie has lived in at least three homes and deserves a forever home. Sadly her son had a severe case of bumblefoot and died a few months ago. Sophie knows her own mind and has not yet met the right male friend though several have tried. Do you have a male piggie who would like to come meet her Sophie has a past history of asthma but not respiratory infections. She previously was treated for blood in her urine and had a benign tumor removed. She is doing great now Sophie has excellent appetite and enjoys fresh vegetables piles of hay and Oxbow Cavy Performance pellets every day. She and her companion will need to live in a Cubes and Coroplast cage of at least 2 cubes by 4 cubes and be in a family part of the house so everyone can enjoy their company. We also ask that anyone adopting her lives a reasonable driving distance from Rockville MD.The adoption fee for Sophie will be 55 as she is spayed.
