Hi my name is Jackson but I also answer to Jack Jackaroo and well Jackass if I am being one. I am a purely delightful 7 yr old 100lb German Shepherd mix. I have been in the same loving home for the past 6 years but sadly I can no longer stay there. My owner is losing her home and can no longer care for me. I am a super friendly guy who loves meeting new people and new dogs. At the dog park I am a social butterfly. I am the dog that gets all the other ones running and playing. If there are little dogs around I will lay down on the ground so they can climb all over me. I even know to respect and leave alone the grumpy dogs who don t want to play. As much as I love other dogs I love kids even more. I just adore them. I get all giddy when I see children on walks. I am very protective of them even ones I have just met. I will walk right beside them and come between them and what I perceive could be a threat to them. Once I knows it s all fine I go right back into my playful meatball mode.I currently live with a cat and we get along great. If a neighborhood cat comes into the yard I will chase it but I am not trying to hurt them I just want to sniff them. I am an energetic boy who needs a hour of exercise a day. Hiking along trails is one of my very favorite things to do and I am great off leash - I never run away always come back even after I go off exploring for a few minutes and will never let you out of my sight. Back home I am calm and relaxed and love to cuddle. I am so full of love that I just can t contain it all. I can be quite vocal about my adoration and my owner claims that it sounds like I am saying I love you you love me I know you dooooo . In fact singing is another one of my favorite things to do. I will sing for firetrucks for guests for my supper for a treat for a belly rub - especially for a belly rub. I have a bit of a sassy attitude and will complain on walks if the light is taking too long to change. When it is dinner time I will ring the bell by nudging my metal bowl in it s stand. And if I don t get something I want (like an extra treat) I will talk back to you with a grumble and sigh as I lay down to make sure you know how I feel about the situation. My owner says I am endlessly entertaining and am eternally a puppy. When we go for walks I am beside my self with joy for the first five minutes. But don t worry I am excellent on the leash. I also know how to sit heel stay wait and drop (lay down).It is hard to imagine how I could be more delightful or devoted. I am neutered tattooed and will be brought up to date on my vaccinations prior to adoption. My adoption fee is 300.... More Info
