This little lady is Diva the Chihuahua. We won t go so far as to say that she lives up to her name but in some ways she is a diva. She doesn t need to be the center of attention but if you are home she believes that she should be with you and if possible you should be cuddling with her. If you are watching TV she will be on your lap. If you are working in the office she will be at your feet so you might as well make sure there is a dog bed there for her. If you are working in the yard or garden she will follow you around and try to help. Then when you go to bed she will cuddle under the blankets with you. She would love a home with a retired person or someone who works from home a lot. She is fine being home alone as long as she gets your attention when you get home. Diva gets along with the other dogs in her home and likes to cuddle with other dogs too. Diva tolerates the cats in her foster home because she has to but they are really not her favorite mammals. Diva prefers a calm and quiet home. She does not like a lot of noise or game playing. She just wants everyone in the home both human and animal to calm down and get comfortable. A home with lots of active children is not the home for Diva. Diva just turned 9 years old and is 9 pounds so she would not like the rough and tumble play of young children or puppies. She is a lady and wants to be treated like one. Are you ready to cuddle up with this little cutie Diva came to our rescue from a city kill shelter with bad teeth a growth on her thigh and a heart murmur. Thanks to Critter Crusaders Diva has had her teeth cleaned the growth removed from her thigh which turned out to be a grade 1 soft tissue sarcoma and xrays and an echocardiogram to determine that her heart murmur is not causing her any issues. Diva has no vision in one eye due to an injury. Diva is spayed up to date on vaccinations heartworm negative and microchipped. Diva is housetrained and crate trained.
