She arrived at the tender age of just a year and a half... and is rolling into her fifth fall season with us. Maggie dreams of a day when she can go to a wonderful place called home . A place where there are people that love her and she can show them what a fantastic girl she has turned out to be. She would love to show someone how much she loves life Being outside laying in the grass and playing with her toys. She LOVES toys We let her loose in our small yard or tie her out on a 30 foot line- and she will quietly play for hours on end She also loves to go for long walks and explores the big bold world with just her nose. Cuddle time is a must - she loves to be rubbed on scratched behind the ears and get kissed on her head. She will usually sneak a quick one right back at you on your lips or cheek....and then playfully dart away Maggie is very good with her things. She does not rip them up or tear them open. Her own toys pillows blankets food and water dishes. She likes her stuff to stay nice and neat and does not like to share with other dogs. It is because of this that we suggest that she be the only dog in a household. Maggie has been loved dearly for many years by all of the volunteers at the rescue. They all have had nick-names for her. Mags Mag-Pie Magda-loon Sweet Maggie May. Personally for the past couple of years I have taken to calling her Maggie Moon (and with good reason).You see Maggie knows exactly how long she has been at the rescue because she has counted the cycles of Mister Moon. She talks to him at night- and even sleeps within his light. It is like a ritual for her that every evening before Maggie falls asleep she lays down on the concrete floor of her kennel and looks up into the big night sky. Then she gently crosses her front paws... and lets out a giant sigh. I am a very good girl. As sweet and humbled - as a rescue dog can be. Once again please Mister Moon send someone here tomorrow.... to come and just pick me.
