Beautiful DUTCHESS has clearly been starved neglected and abused but her loving sweet affection personality has not be trashed by her horrible past. DUTCHESS loves to cuddle she will climb up on your lap if you would let her and just lie on with you enjoying and sharing in the love. DUTCHESS is NOT good with other dogs she has very high prey drive with small dogs so it is almost guaranteed other small animals and she is pretty feisty with other dogs. This could be because of all that she has been through but we are only prepared to adopt her out to a family as an only dog unless she changes significantly during her time in rescue but cats small dogs and other small animals we will not allow her to live with. DUTCHESS is great around all people of all ages she has been starved from affection as much as she had food and she will do almost anything to gain your attention to get some loving. She does pull on the leash but it is most likely she has never been on a leash before she was picked up by animal control. DUTCHESS rides great in the car and after watching the world pass her by she is quite happy to settle down and fall asleep. DUTCHESS is still young and her ideal family will be active who are willing and capable of taking her on adventures and road trips so that she can explore all the sights sounds and smells the world has to offer. She will need at least basic and advanced training but due to her desperation for attention and affection training I believe would be pretty easy and of course a lot of fun. DUTCHESS is currently being free fed and is segregated from the other dogs but is in the same area so that she is no isolated. She is eating a good amount of 4 grain free kibble and I will be switching her to a raw diet soon to help give her body the nutrients that it needs. She is also being given honey coconut oil colostrum powder vitamin c and fish oil. When DUTCHESS arrived in rescue our sponsors gave her the complete works in grooming and she did great and clearly felt a lot better afterwards. DUTCHESS is available for adoption through Give a Dog a Home German Shepherd Dog Rescue for an adoption fee of 450. This fee is not negotiable and is used to cover the rescue costs of pulling vetting health certificate transport from Texas to Maine monthly preventatives supplements food and anything else that is needed.
