He is very sweet loves people and attention and is eager to please. He came to us heartworm positive but was treated and is fully recovered and given a clean bill of health by our vet. James is an active guy but once he gets his exercise he is a big snuggle bug. He would be a perfect dog for a family looking for a hiking buddy. He gets along well with other dogs but doesn t like larger male dominant dogs getting in his face at adoption events. He is not aggressive but will growl back if challenged first. He would be ok living with another doggie as long as they are not large dominant males who will try to bully him... James gets inquiries but he gets too distracted at adoption events and finds it hard to focus on a potential family - so much to see and so much to do and he appears more active and hyper and non-leash trained than what he actually is... In other words poor James keep blowing it whenever he meets a new family.. but once you get him alone and one-on-one he is affectionate and sweet and very loving and actually a decent leash walker with a harness We are hoping that there is a family out there who will give him a chance even though he tends to blow first impressions. To help him out K-9 Lifesavers will cover a cost of in-home partner trainer consultation for his new family to help ensure he is all set for successful transition in his new home Please give this boy a chance. You won t regret it Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training.
