Meet Darcy. She is a 4 year Shih Tzu Terrier mix we rescued this past Saturday when her owner came in to the clinic to have her heartworm tested and found out she was HW positive. So they decided that they were going to have to euthanize her because of the expense of treatment and after preventative care. So we took her in. She is not spayed but we will have her spayed before adoption. She is now current on all vaccinations including Rabies bordatella and parvo distemper. She is about 23 lbs and has a very sweet disposition. She is good with people and other dogs and cats. Appears to be house trained and crate trained. We are looking for a foster to help us while she is in treatment for heartworms and until we can put her in a fur-ever family. If you are interested in helping us foster her please message the page. In about 60 days she will be available for adoption. We are only able to help when we have donations from the community and foster homes to give them love until they have a place of their own. Update Darcy had her first hw treatment on 7 22 16. She will have her 2nd in 30 days.
