Vintage AIRGUIDE ANEROID BAROMETER. These instruments measure the changes in atmospheric pressure to aid in predicting the short term changes in weather. This unit was likely built in the mid-1900 s by the prolific Airguide Instrument Co. The cast aluminum case measures 5 x 1 and has a brass bezel with a 5 glass convex (domed) viewing window. Also the back of the case still has the Patent Label attached. The face has a scale that ranges from 25 to 31 inches of pressure and is signed as follows Airguide BAROMETER MADE IN THE U.S.A. BY AIRGUIDE INSTRUMENT COMPANY CHICAGO . This quality Barometer can be hung on the wall or has two threaded studs (one at top and bottom) which could be used for custom mounting. It has been displayed on my wall for over 20 years and appears to work OK but will need to be adjusted to your altitude level.
