This is adorable little Stevie who was wandering all alone on the streets of San Bernardino. He was very neglected and matted had terrible ear infections and was very weak and anemic as a result of being flea- & tick-infested. He collapsed in a bus lane and lay there for about 2 days with no food or water and nobody paid any attention to this desperate little Cocker Spaniel. Somebody finally called animal control to come and pick up the dead dog but he surprised them and looked up at them with his beautiful soulful Cocker eyes so they took him to the shelter vet where he spent about 8 days being treated for the fleas & ticks and getting food and water & IV fluids to build up his strength a bit. Then we found out about him and brought him into our rescue.Stevie was a little train wreck and needed lots of medical care for a while. Since he has been with us he has gotten lots of love good quality food and fresh water and veterinary care. His ears have been cleaned and medicated though he will have to have ear medication from time to time and daily ear cleaning for the rest of his life as he has chronically bad ears from years of neglect and he does not hear very well. He has a cataract but can still see.Currently he is happily hanging out with the other little Seniors in the Bed and Biscuit and having a good time with them all. He has a great laid-back mellow happy disposition and he loves exploring in the yard. He is about 10-11 years old and 27 pounds. He is pretty much housebroken loves going for his daily walk and he is good in the car. He has had his dental and and his teeth are nice and clean again. He does have a cataract but he can still see. He needs someone who will be home with him as he has some separation anxiety at first and will cry if you leave him but after he gets used to his new people and routine he is just fine. He is an adorable sweet and gentle little guy with a loving personality and he is feeling loved and appreciated maybe for the first time in his life. Sometimes he wags his tail so much that it almost looks like a little windmill Now his real personality is shining for all to see and what a wonderful little guy he is Everyone who meets him absolutely falls in love with him He just needs to find his forever family now....
