Meet Oakley Approx. 3 yrs oldApprox. 55 lbs.Oakley is a sweet and handsome boy who would like to find a family to call his own Oakley is Heartworm and needs to come to IL to start his treatment. Heartworm is treatable and consists of a minimum of 60 days committment. The first 30 days Oakley will need to be on antibiotics. He can play and exercise as normal. Then he will receive 2 injections 24 hours apart followed by strict crate bed rest for 30 days. After that he will be adoptable. Fostering a dog through Heartworm treatment is special as they need lots of tender love and care.Oakley would like to be rescued from the high kill shelter he is currently living in.
