COMMENTS ABOUT MINNIE Minnie is a diva. She is a typical feisty female terrier. She likes to play with toys and go for walks. She loves to fetch and play with balls. She likes floppy toys she can chase and shake. She does like to play with other dogs but when there is any disagreement or she doesn t get her way she will put up a pretty decent fight. So we would like her to be the only dog in the family. She is a terrier so she doesn t back down. She thinks she can take on the world. This attitude is also what make her great She lives each day to the fullest and loves to engage with her people whether playing with toys or on walks. She is not always cuddly snuggly but she does like to be near you all the time. I think she is the perfect little terrier girl She has been professionally trained so does well with walks and sitting for food treats and toys etc. She does fine with cats. She will do fine with kids but she can be mouthy jumpy and barky when she plays which could startle small children. She needs a person that likes the spunk of a terrier and is willing to be a good leader to keep her attitude in check. Every Dog has a Story Minnie was enrolled in Dog Training Camp training (3 wk board and train) in August 2014 when she was 7 mos old because she was all out fighting with her basset hound sister. The training allowed her to understand rules and boundaries and taught the owners how to handle her personality. Two years later she has done great and is great 99% of the time with her basset sister but they have the occasional scuffle where neither dog wants to back down. The owners fear for Minnie s safety since the size different is so substantial. So Minnie is currently staying with her trainer (Shannon) from Dog Training Camp until a new home can be found.
