Ginger - Female Shepherd (Unknown Type) Mix

Hi I m Ginger named aptly due to my pretty orange-brown coat. I am a fun and active female shepherd mix about 6 months old. I have so many awesome qualities which include being potty-trained sitting on command and having a great temperament. I m currently learning the down command and to walk better on leash. My foster mom gives me treats when I walk nicely as I am very treat-motivated. I like to romp & roll when I play. I m 35 pounds (but may still have a little filling out to do) and my play buddies are a retriever & pit mix who are both twice my weight and both tire before me. The neighborhood grade and high school kids just love me We play lots of ball. I think they want me to give the ball back but I enjoy having everyone run after me. After playing the next best thing is cuddling on the couch or taking a nap.I like rawhides but I m not a big chewer. It takes me a few days to finish the bones my foster brother can chew in 10 minutes. On the other hand I like to keep busy since I m young and have energy. I probably won t do well if I m going to be left home for long periods. My foster mom has crate-trained me and leaves me home for 4 hours at a time and I do fine when I have several toys in my cage. My foster home has two dogs one enjoys playing but the other is a grumpy dog who keep his distance. I give him the space he wants. I try to play but also know how to react appropriately to his cues. I am an all-round playful dog who enjoys running kids and sniffing out rabbits. I am young and hope to find a home who will play with me and make me part of their family.
