Posted 9 11 2016. This very special boy is Rudy. Rudy is a sweet smart energetic (yet not really high energy) young German Shepherd. He is full of puppy energy and lives by eat play sleep in rapid succession. He bonds fast and hard with his humans and has known much love in his short life. Oh and Rudy is deaf and he has a few neurological issues that have improved as he has grown. The oft tilted head is incredibly endearing and he will occasionally tumble in his puppy over-excitement. Rudy is looking for a new place to call home with an experienced canine family who will enjoy the slightly more challenging training needs of a deaf dog who had little or no training prior to coming into foster care. Rudy has already learned an incredible amount of patience restraint and self-control in the few days he s been in his foster home. All he needs is consistent guidance exercise and good food to grow into those oversize ears and of course lots of love. Rudy would benefit by another canine brother or sister in his adoptive home. Due to his rough play style he is best matched with a medium or large doggie companion. A fenced area to play off leash is also recommended. Rudy is approximately 16 months old and 65 lbs. He is currently 10 lbs underweight and should quickly regain lost weight and muscle tone again shining as the beautiful boy in the third photo taken several months ago. Rudy is neutered up to date of vaccines and preventatives and crate trained and house trained too. Stay tuned for updates as he settles into his foster home and learns more basic obedience skills.
