Temperament Pepa is a very nice senior lady looking for a forever home. She came to us without a lot of background information but we do know she is very nice and easy to handle. She loves to be pet and will let you pick her up. Her age is a estimation by her previous owners family but we do feel she could be a bit older. Diet Feed non-medicated pelleted chicken mash and a chicken scratch as a staple. You can also do fruits and vegetables as a treat. Fresh water is a MUST as chickens do not have teeth to chew and need water to wash down their food.Habitat Provide a penned area that is clean and safe from predators. provide shelter for sleeping and use hay or straw bedding. Foraging is great for your chickens in so many ways. Not only does it supply them with exercise and fresh foods but their constant digging helps to keep their nails trimmed. When chickens forage they also tend to take more dirt baths and eat tiny rocks which are essential to their health....
