Kalnaanstop located in Vernon is looking for an enthusiastic and Creative Chef to join our team We are looking for a chef to ensure maximum efficiency co-ordinate and facilitate the execution of food. RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS Assist in restaurant staffing requirement including the termination and hiring of new staff Keep track of the roster of cooks on the staffing sheet. Inspire and motivate kitchen team to be creative passionate and productive Help in development of seasonal current and custom menus as needed Oversee kitchen operations to attain the cost targets and submit the weekly cost report. Prepare and cook complete meals or specialty foods Maintenance and upkeep of all C& C assets Maintain kitchen cleanliness standards and manage cleaning schedule Manage maintenance of HVAC condensers grease trap grease barrels garbage recycling compost Manage kitchen operational contracts such as chemicals and linens Manage catering vans including insurance oil changes tires gas and schedule of use for events Production of recipe manuals plating manuals and proper prep sheets . The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications Must Know English.HINDI AND PUNJBAI is an asset Completion of secondary school is requiredMust have at least 3 years of experience working in a high-volume restaurant or production kitchen as chef Excellent verbal and written communication skills 2 years of experience in commercial food preparation Positive attitude and willingness to learn Experience with multitasking in a high-pressure environment Passionate committed energetic with strong work ethics Ability to work in a safe and responsible manner Able to work independently or in a collaborative team environment Ability to take direction and follow through with assigned tasks Must be Capable to gain valid BC Driver s license
