Scientist I duties routine maintenance of glass stainless steel and disposable fermenters as well as equipment troubleshooting maintaining lab inventory (laboratory materials consumables process samples etc.) and organizing laboratory space. support the process science team by preparing and or processing biological fermentation samples for standard analytical measurement entering the samples inventory into database and transferring samples to other internal groups. Strong attention to laboratory safety and following standard operating procedures is a must requirement. work with and in areas requiring select agents and toxins access (i.e. Biosafety level 2 and biosafety level 3 laboratories). Access to and use of select agents is regulated by federal policies. must conduct all work activities in compliance with internal and applicable regulatory requirements. Must be able to complete SOPs training consistent with safety technical operational process and other skill knowledge requirements for the position. Maintain all training to current status. Support safety program and ensure safety in all routine and new operations by strictly following SOPs.
