Romans 3 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past through the forbearance of God [For the remission of sins that are past not future sin. Check out the definition of this word past in a Strong s Exhaustive Concordance. Word G4266 is Greek word proginomai pronounced prog-in -om-ahee from 4253 and 1096 to be already i.e. have previousy transpired --be past]. 2 Peter 1 9 But he that lacketh these things is blind and cannot see afar off and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. [Purged from old sins not future sins. Very clear to me]. Ezekiel 18 24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness and committeth iniquity and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth shall he live All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned in his trespass that he hath trespassed and in his sin that he hath sinned in them shall he die. [Many believers will tell you that even future sin is forgiven. These and other verses such as 1 John 1 6-10 show us that God says otherwise. Who do you believe] What is still in the world once you are forgiven Your flesh body and worldly temptations are still there. Can you deny that I don t think so. If you fall short in the future do you honestly believe God gives you a pass Not according to the above verses. I have a question for those that believe future sin is forgiven How can you be cleansed of sin if you re actively involved in the act of sin I would like to hear your answer. Also see Galatians 2 17.
