Titled Banderillas the image shows a matador s banderillas (flagman) in the ring using banderillas (long barbed darts this time) on a bull. Dated 6.3.61 in the stone. Published in 1961 by Mourlot of Paris. It was included in the publication A La Toros Avec Picasso published by Jaime Sabartes in 1961. Frame size 20-1 4 inches H x 24 inches W (51.4 cm x 61.0 cm). COA. Small compression in lower margin paper to the right of the date away from the image. Additional compression in the right margin under the matte.
