Meet Dixon Dixon is an adorable neutered male Boxer Pit Bull mix. He is 2 years old.We adopted Dixon from the shelter last weekend. He had been there awhile and if he wasn t adopted soon he would have been put to sleep. He was underweight when we adopted him. We have been feeding him several times a day to try and help him gain weight. Dixon has a bubbly personality. He loves to play and give kisses He has had all of his shots. He has been wormed. He has a microchip He is neutered When we brought Dixon home we were so excited and in hopes that he would be a good play mate with our male pet. Unfortunately they were not a good fit. This is no fault of Dixon s at all. Our male dog can be very overbearing at times. And he is very large so this was a lot for Dixon to try and handle.Dixon has the type of personality that he loves attention But he really needs to be in a home where he is the only pet. He would be a good fit for inside outside dog. He never had an accident in the house for the short time we have had him. This makes me think that he might have been house trained when we got him.We don t want to have to take Dixon back to the shelter because I am afraid he will be put to sleep due to overcrowding. That would break our hearts because he is just so sweet. So I would like to rehome him into a good home environment instead of returning him to a shelter. I am located in the Dallas suburbs. To qualify for being Dixon s new home you will need to meet these requirements You must love animals and have plenty of love to give him. You must have a fenced yard. Dixon must be the only animal in the home so he gets the attention he deserves. He doesn t like sharing attention. Please reply with the reason you would like to give Dixon a new home with you.
