Salvation happens when

The condition or point at which we can say we are saved occurs in my opinion when we do not experience the second death we enter the eternity spiritually alive. Many say they are saved now. Is that so There is much time between now and the beginning of the eternity. Can someone mess up between now and then Based on my limited observation of us humans it is quite possible. Getting saved isn t like signing up for an insurance policy (acting as if it s over and done saying it s in effect I m covered). It s similar to a man and woman getting married (it s an ongoing covenant at least till one breaks it by not acting like they are married). Salvation begins with a covenant pledge and it grows as one lives out that pledge day by day. Christ never breaks the covenant His one time sacrifice is good forever and covers whomsoever. But a mere human can break it and does sometimes. We are the bride of Christ betrothed to Jesus. This begins with our saying feeling and thinking I do want to be with Him . We grow as we live this pledge out every day the bride making herself ready through obedience . And someday our groom will come back for his bride and we ll consummate the marriage spiritually speaking. What happens if we don t remain ready Can some be caught not looking and watching He did say He comes as a thief in the night. Repentance (Remaining in good standing with God) is necessary and an ongoing continuous attitude of wanting to change of wanting to do better to grow overcome and become more like Christ on a daily basis. It is not a one time act [one and done]. Repentance includes true sorrow for sin and a turning away from it. We shall not renounce sin unless we see it for what it is what it results in it separates us from God [Isaiah 59 2]. Until we turn away from it in our hearts there will be no real change in our lives the kind of change we truly need. I m sad to say some will never turn from it. First death Hebrews 9 27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die but after this the judgment [All flesh bodies die once this doesn t exclude anyone. This is the first death the death of the flesh. Then they are judged this is the first judgment (see 2 Corinthians 5 10 [Notice the judgment seat of Christ our savior]). Were they over-comers or not Do they have mortal or immortal souls at this point If they have an immortal soul at this point they will not experience the second death see Revelation 20 6]. Second Death Matthew 10 28 [This verse describes who can destroy both soul and body. What remains after our flesh body dies See 1 Corinthians 15 40-58 for a more in depth explanation]. Revelation 20 11-15 [these verses describe the final judgment (great white throne judgment) after the millennium reign of Christ our savior. There will be those that overcome and those that don t at this point. Where do those that don t overcome go Lake of fire. This is the second death the death of the soul [again notice the judgment seat of God full Godhead is present now. Will salvation be available after this judgment It won t be necessary all evil has been removed there is nothing in the eternity that will cause tears or pain. See Revelation 21 4]. This is a work in progress as I study more I learn more. I express my opinions based on what I have learned from that personal study of the KJV Bible. I truly hope you continue to study and learn as well.
