Tungnath is one of the highest Shiva Temples in the World. It is perched at an elevation of 3 680m ( 12 073ft) and located in the mountain range of Tungnath in the Rudraprayag district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Tungnath and Chandrashila are snow-covered from December to March. September to November are the best months to visit and experience the clear views of Himalayan Peaks.
