This is an excellent opportunity to work with a local manufacturing company. The aluminum welder will be responsible for performing MIG and TIG welding in the manufacturing of boats to include prep work parts and repair. Responsibilities Responsibilities Perform MIG and TIG welding of aluminum boats (hulls bottoms parts) according to drawings and specifications. Complete required documentation of welded baots for production purposes. Sand boats as needed. Move boats and or parts to paint carts or overhead hanger system. Work with team and other departments to ensure quality products and follow documented work instructions. Ability to locate and use the HazCom labels and MSDS informationQualifications & Experience Must be detailed oriented and organized. Lift up to 50 lbs repetitively Bending stooping and grasping repetitively Ability to be on your feet for most of the day Ability to travel up and down stairs on a constant basis Physical exertion is required High School Diploma or GED Welding Certificiation from accredited college Safety Toed Boots Shoes required Respiratory Fit Test Certification or obtain within 3 months of hire. Basic computer math reading and measurement proficiency. Must be able to read drawings and specifications. Ability to follow established safety processes to handle chemicals and equipment to weld aluminum. Need to be willing to learn all departmental job functions and adhere to safety and quality requirements. A positive work attitude is very important.
