Job Summary -Operates and tends machine that compresses and binds paper and other loose materials. -Back-up relief driver -Other General Labor DutiesHours 2-3 days a week (16-24 hours a week)II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. Trucks or carries materials to baling machine. Places materials in compression chamber of baling machine. Moves lever or electric switch causing ram to compress material. Threads tie bands around bale and twists or clamps ends of bands to tighten bands. Opens compression chamber doors and removes bale from machine. Trucks bales to storage place. Relief Driving and General Labor responsibilities as neededIII. Supervisory Responsibilities This job has no supervisory duties.IV. Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job. A. Education and Experience Education High School Diploma or GED (accredited). Experience 1 year of relevant work experience operating a vehicle requiring a Class 3 or higher license. Experience with operating machinery an asset (skid steer loader) as well as ability to drive a manual transmission. B. Certificates Licenses Registrations or Other Requirements Hold a current Class 3 or higher license with an air brake endorsement. The Class 3 or higher license is a requirement therefore an applicant must be 18 years of age. Legally eligible to work in Canada. C.
