Job Description PeopleReady is looking for Warehouse Picker.Using a shopping cart pallet jack and skid or a blue 4-wheeled cart pick orders from the accessory pile. Ensure the order is signed out in the logbook. Place all items in plastic bags size permitting and place the bags in the shopping cart. Build or help packers build skids of accessories for large accessory orders. Collect items that have been waiting for the receiving team to replenish the home location. Help pick food orders. Help top load skids at the end of the day. Help wrap skids at the end of the day. Various receiving replenishing cleaning duties as time and workflow allow for. Note Pay Rate for this Job is 16 HourJob Responsibilities.The role of warehouse picker is performed for an 8hr day from Monday to Friday. A large amount of the day is spent walking on a concrete floor. The weight of items can range from a few ounces up to a maximum of 50lbs. The vast majority of items that need to be picked are between 1oz and 1lb. When building or top loading skids box crates and cages can weigh on average 25-30lbs. Large skids can require a greater amount of lifting over the head. Lifting and bending are constant factors in both removing items from a shopping cart and either placing repacked items on the floor or onto a skid. A wooden 48x40 skid weighs on average 20-25lbs. Removing items from bins especially on the high racking can be stressful on the shoulder joint due to the need to pull the bin out.
