Prepare weigh measure and mix ingredients according to recipes. Check food and ingredients for freshness. Prepares any necessary sauces or accompaniments before meal service begins. Manages other employees in the kitchen. Assists other cooks during the food assembly process. Portions arranges and garnishes food based on client preference. Train and supervise kitchen helpers. Maintain kitchen inventory supplies and equipment. Maintain good sanitation around work area. Offers a creative menu to compete with other local restaurants. Order kitchen supplies and equipment when needed.
