Mold Set-Up Technician (3rd Shift) - Streetsboro Ohio - JOB 21-00307 Hourly Rate 17.00 HR Permanent Position with Benefits Only U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply. A Streetsboro Area Manufacturing Company is seeking a Mold Set-up Technician. The Mold Set-up Technician s main responsibility is to set up and monitor the operation of molds and the processing of plastics parts to meet customer requirements REQUIREMENTSAssociate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school OR 1-year minimum related experience or training. Must able to read and interpret documents (safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals) Must be able to write routine reports Must have good math skills Must be able to compute rate ratio and percentages and interpret charts and graphs Must be able to maintain a valid industrial forklift license Knowledge of injection molds & mold processing Must be able to stand walk use hands & fingers reaching with hands & arms stoop kneel crouch and climb Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds Requires good vision (Close Color Peripheral and Depth) correctable to a minimum of 20x40 Must be able to work 3rd Shift 11 30pm-7 15am Must be able to work extended hours and holidays and swing shifts as needed Key Responsibilities Sets and starts molds and required auxiliary equipment for new production run as outlined in the work instruction for parts to be produced to production specifications. Responds to quality assurance requests for corrective action by performing and documenting process adjustments. Performs job changeover by removing and storing tool and auxiliary equipment to prepare machine for next production run. Provides timely notification of press start-up to QC as well as samples for evaluation. Assists with the start-up and shutdown of all processing equipment. Investigates malfunction of machines equipment and process and takes appropriate corrective action. Conducts daily Press Scans and Process Scans on all presses in Sub-Plant to ensure the safe operation of all equipment and that Key Process & Quality Monitoring parameters are correct. Capable of conducting daily Document Scans of all documents that pertain to jobs running in Sub-Plant.
