The PeopleReady located at Dalton Minnesota 56324 is currently hiring a Robotic Welder Job Description Utilizes Robots to lay out fit up and weld raw material fabricated and cast components to assemble miscellaneous ornamental and structural components such as ornamental railings ladders and building and bridge parts by performing the following duties. Responsibilities Read interpret and perform welding techniques to fabricate parts to be used in the manufacturing of product. This includes possessing basic mechanical knowledge and use of hand tools following instructions and welding products. Apply competencies in welding and utilize computer-based software to operate the robotic machine. Review program specifications or shop drawings to determine and set machine operations and sequencing finished work piece dimensions and or numerical control sequences. Troubleshoot equipment including but not limited to adjusting machine controls when automatic programming is faulty or if the machine malfunctions. Bolt clamp and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding. Perform manual welding as required. Operate power and hand tools such as grinders drills and saws. Safely operate forklifts overhead cranes and other material handling equipment. Maintain equipment. Qualifications Consistently and accurately perform AWS welds meeting both structural and aesthetic requirements in flat horizontal and vertical positions. Read a shop drawing select material accurately measure and cut parts tack parts into assembly weld up assembly grind welds that require grinding inspect assembly mark assembly and handle and stack assembly. Two years of tech school education or two years of similar work experience. Preferably formal training certification in robotic equipment or welding. Must be able to read and understand shop drawings and weld procedures written in English. Ability to accurately read an English tape measure. Ability to perform basic math skills add and subtract English measuring system including fractions. Heavy lifting is required. Must be able to stand for entire shift walk bend lift and reach to worktable height.
