Job DescriptionSummary To assist all areas of general maintenance (upper campus lower campus and residential properties) primarily focusing on repairs and alterations to ensure that all school and boarding facilities and equipment function properly remain in peak operating condition and meet the needs of the Ross School educational mission activities and program. Duties and responsibilities may be revised as necessary.Duties and Responsibilities Other duties may be assigned. To assist the Facilities Department with all aspects of building and grounds maintenance to the various buildings owned operated by Ross School. Communicates and supports the Upper School Lower School and Residential Facilities Managers Will assist the Facilities Mangers in completion of service requests and other routine duties. Will immediately report damage to boarding house to the Facilities Manger.Qualifications To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each assigned duty satisfactorily. An individual must be able to accept and assume assigned responsibilities and make responsible decisions when requiredEducation and or Experience NoneSkills Knowledge Abilities Required Ability to comprehend create and carry out instructions. Posses of valid NYS drivers license. Ability to understand printed signs and written instructions. Ability to problem solve. Knowledge of and ability to apply relevant safety rules and practices. Ability to engage in team work and work cooperatively with others. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds. Ability to perform strenuous work in all weather conditions. Ability to relocate from one physical space to another throughout the course of the day as well as travel off site as needed to check properties and attend meetings.
