They are at building highway and heavy construction sites residential and commercial sites tunnel and shaft excavations and demolition sites. Many of the jobs they perform are physically strenuous and may require special training or experience. Other jobs require little skill and can be learned quickly. The job duties of aGeneral Helpervary sometimes even day-to-day at the same site. They may include cleaning and preparing a jobsite loading and delivering materials using different tools and machines such as blowtorches driving forklifts reading levels operating lifts and manning power drills grinders saws pressure washers and water spraying equipment. Laborers set up and take down ladders scaffolding and other temporary structures. They help carpenters masons and other specialized contractors. Labors and helpers work in all fields of construction commercial jobs and other businesses and the demand for these workers should mirror the level of overall activity. Note - Pay Rate for this Job is 16.5 Hour Shift Timing -1st Shift (Day) Responsibilities Include Helping with vinyl netting Helping to install chain link fence Unload or load truck Assembling carts Removing and or placing tape on floor Labeling boxes dismantling parts Wiping down shelves and cleaning Debris removal may use a pallet jack Qualifications Must be physically able to work 10 shifts push pull up 35lbs squat up & down repeatedly throughout shift Assignment involves a lot of walking in full PPE including steel toed or composite toed work boots Must be comfortable working in a loud environment that may or may not have climate control.
