The PeopleReady located at Scarborough Ontario M1P3E3 is currently hiring a Machine Operator Job Description We are looking for a hard-working reliable and detail-oriented machine operator who is committed to quality and safety in the workplace. As a machine operator you will oversee machinery and various work processes in order to create quality products. You will also help diagnose and repair any mechanical problems to ensure that equipment runs safely and efficiently at all times.The Machine Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks to set up operate monitor troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on assigned machine. Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear) is a must.The Machine Operator will also be responsible for inspecting output to specifications and making adjustments and changes as necessary to maintain quality specifications. Sets up and operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines following good safety GMP and HACCP standards.Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts practices and procedures within the food industry. Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Note - The pay rate for this job is 18 Hour. Shift Timing -1st Shift (Day). Responsibilities Include Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow standardized work procedures while adhering to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment Assist in the installation maintenance and repair of machinery Perform periodic checks on equipment and solve problems as detected Experience in food manufacturing environment is a plus Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment start up and regular operation Maintain daily production logs and paperwork accurately Monitor equipment during operation to ensure quality production and minimal unplanned stops Communicate with team members and support team to ensure continuous production of the correct product at high quality levels with minimal wasted time and materials Housekeeping and sanitation Qualifications Combination education and experience a plus Proven Experience as a Machine Operator required Knowledge of Production Procedures in a food facility ie HACCP GMP Analytical Skills Attention to Detail Physical Stamina and Strength Work Independently Multitask
