The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) was well-known from 2003 under the UPES Act 2003 of the Uttarakhand state Legislature. The UPES University is the first ever university who gives the finest education and research in the field of energy and petroleum. UPES University is also approved by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The Department of Science and Industrial Research (DSIR) have been documented UPES as a Research Institute. The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES) is a glory for their students and faculty members because it has a wonderful infrastructure which is extend across 44 acres which are surrounded by the nature.
