Automation Engineer (3rd Shift) - Ashtabula Ohio - JOB 21-00560 Salary Range 65K - 85K Permanent Position with Benefits. An Ashtabula area manufacturer of composite components used in automotive and energy sector applications has an immediate need for an Automation Engineer. The Automation Engineer will design program simulate and test automated machinery and processes in order to complete assigned projects. Diagnose and trouble shoot mechanical and electrical machine failures. Lead and assist maintenance associates during equipment failures. Develop continuous improvement strategies and manage implementation. REQUIREMENTSBachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering OR Electrical Engineering Technology preferred Must have 5 years Automation Engineering experience. Experience with Industrial robot programming and troubleshooting highly desired PLC Programming Must have knowledge of Allen Bradley compact & Micro Logix s HMI Programming - Must have knowledge of AB Factory talk Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics a plus Experience with engineering & development of equipment specifications for new and existing production areas Ability to diagnose and trouble shoot mechanical and electrical machine failures Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and perform complex system tests Must be self-motivated with excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
