A food production worker is responsible for measuring mixing and packaging food items for shipping. Food Production Associates perform a variety tasks to strive for their main goal of ensuring that food products meet certain standards of quality. TRANSPORTATION PROVIDED FROM CUDAHY AREA. Email branch directly at 7262-br(at)peopleready.com for immediate consideration with FOOD PRODUCTION in the subject line Note - Pay Rate for this Job is 16 Hour Shift Timing - 1st Shift (Day) 2nd Shift (Evening) and Weekends Responsibilities Include Assemble and prepare goods for shipment Remove the finished product from the production line and push batches to the next step of the process for packaging Verify that each finished item meets the quality standards of the company by observing the size shape and luster of each snack item Sanitize all materials and machinery parts at the end of each shift and clean the workspace at the worker station by following company cleanliness standards Qualifications Ability to work in a cold environment. Physical ability to complete job duties which may include standing for long periods working in a space that lacks climate control or lifting objects with an established maximum weight Ability to follow directions accurately Attention to detail and organization skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10 s and 100 s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement volume and distance Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to read write and speak simple sentences.c Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Background check required
