This position is also responsible for maintaining quality and safety standards.Essential Job Functions Lifts work pieces manually or with hoist and positions and secures it on machine table. Plan and layout setup operations and determine sequence of operations. Moves machine controls to feed tools into work piece and engages automatic feed. Observes machine operations and verifies conformance of work piece to specifications using fixed gauges calipers and micrometers. Changes work cutting tools using wrenches. Moves controls to adjust cutting speeds feed rates and depth of cut. May sharpen cutting tools using bench grinder. May perform minor assembly such as fastening parts with nuts bolts and screws using power tools and hand tools.Educational and Experience Requirements High School Diploma or GED A minimum of 2 - 5 years of VTL machining experience and or training.
